Mirelon 2 mm is a PE foam underlay for floating floors – laminate, timber, composite. It is made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) foam. It is 2 mm thick and comes in a 1 x 25 m roll. The underlay is used for various floor coverings; it is important to note that it does not meet the load-bearing requirements of some flooring manufacturers.
With a thermal resistance of 0.05 m² K/W and a thermal conductivity of 0.04 W/(mK), it provides thermal insulation. It has a compressive load-bearing capacity of 2.9 t/m². Impact noise reduction is 20 dB. The Mirelon, 2 mm, is not suitable for use with underfloor heating.
Protection against moisture from the subfloor is not integrated; therefore, it is recommended to use an additional vapour barrier when installing on mineral subfloors. Supplied in 100 m rolls.
