Cezarnd EXPERT MATT 5 mm XPS underlay for floating floors is made from extruded polystyrene (XPS) and is an excellent choice for applications with laminate, timber and vinyl floors on an HDF subfloor.
The underlay is designed to withstand a load of 5 t/m², but at this value it does not meet the requirements of some flooring manufacturers. It has a thermal resistance (R = 0.18 m² K/W) and is not suitable for underfloor heating.
Using the Cezar EXPERT MATT 5 mm XPS underlay guarantees a 9 per cent reduction in room noise and an 18 dB reduction in impact noise. The underlay is installed with the grooves facing downwards and comes in sheets measuring 0.475 x 1.18 m. Each pack contains 10 sheets.
The underlay does not have an integrated vapour barrier, so if installing on a mineral substrate, a separate vapour barrier must be purchased. It is laid with the grooves facing downwards.
