The SECURA MAX AQUASTOP SMART 5 mm XPS underlay for floating floors is suitable for laminate, timber and vinyl flooring on an HDF subfloor. The underlay is made from high-quality extruded polystyrene (XPS+PET), which ensures excellent insulation and strength.
With a total thickness of 5 mm, it provides superior support for various types of floor coverings laid as floating floors. This underlay is not suitable for underfloor heating. Room noise reduction (RWS) is 10 per cent, whilst impact noise reduction (IS) is as high as 22 dB (in the room below).
The integrated vapour barrier and protection against substrate moisture ensure excellent protection against damp. It is installed with the silver side facing upwards and is grey in colour with a silver film. The underlay is packaged in a folded/accordion-style format. We supply it in packs measuring 1.18 x 4.7 metres.
